It's Getting hot out here!
Pet Safety,
That pavement is HOT! If you wouldn't walk on it barefoot don't make your pet. Save the walk for cooler evening or early morning temperatures, keep walks short and always watch for signs of distress in your pet. Remember they don't sweat the way people do and regulating their body temperature is much more difficult. HYDRATE make sure you carry your pet sufficient water supply too.
A parked car, RV or livestock trailer is no place for pets, quick errands can turn into unexpected long lines, long enough to send temperatures in your car soaring. If the outside temperature is 85 degrees the temperature in a parked car can reach 102 degrees in less than ten minutes. Within 25 to 30 minutes the temperature can pass the 120 degree mark, which can cause internal damage leading to stroke and even death. Please keep this in mind as you travel and vacation with your pets this summer.
Wishing You, Your Family and Your Pets a Safe And Relaxing Summer !
